Blasphemous bosses

Bosses are special Enemies that are uniquely named and must be defeated in order to unlock new areas, to progress the game, and to obtain unique gear. Crisanta of the Wrapped Agony is a knight who looks similar to The Penitent One, she is a devotee to His Holiness Escribar. Hey Slug! On one of my tries, I managed to stun lock Escribar in his first phase with the dash thing, I hit him and he teleported to the other side of the screen, dash attack, repeat, I think he managed to attack once in his first phase. Crisanta of the Wrapped Agony is a Boss in Blasphemous. I can totally see them worth re-challenging in a Hollow Knight's Hall of Gods sort of deal. Again, tough but not very good.Ĭrisanta and Esdras, now that's where it's at: Both tough, both seemingly impossible at first but both increasingly manageable as I learned their moves, and ultimately out and out fun to fight. The first phase seems ideal to use the dash/slash move, but that would always see me caught inside his bubble-shield to disastrous ends and the second phase involved way too much faffing about waiting for the proper set of platforms to spawn. Tough, but not in a good way.Įscribar was somewhat annoying. It would seem like the worm is never giving me a proper opening and I'm just landing hits by accident. I beat him for the second time last night and I still can't be sure I understand that fight. Originally posted by Slug Camargo:Another vote for Exposito's and his random behaviour. The coolest fights are mace-guy and flame-sword-guy, because they're really pretty ungimmicky standup duels, with the first being an exercise in hitting Macey when he is winding down from his huge swinging attacks and the other being a cool swordfight involving memorising quite a few different attack patterns. Much easier to avoid taking huge damage when attacking his weak spots from afar and it can hit him twice if you time it right. The baby-snake boss was fairly tough, but way easier once I started using the ranged attack.

BLASPHEMOUS BOSSES HOW TO

Rest of the bosses were pretty manageable, although I found the last boss to be frustrating and not much fun.īoss difficulty also relies a lot on what enhancements you have equipped, IMO - I beat the Charred Lady first go due to having the Fast Dodge Recharge bead equipped, enabling me to spam dodges through all her bullet-hell nonsense, and the Parry Duration sword upgrade honestly made Crisanta trivial to beat (but only because I read someone referring to her as "Katie Parry, making it easy to figure out how to beat her - spam parries, all the time!) To me, the Ten Piedad boss was the toughest, mainly because I had to hit him a lot, could not facetank him due to only having 2 flasks at that point and not gotten used to the controls yet.
